Pioneering creative Alison Goldfrapp is the third of The Three Wise Women on Boxing Day, keeping listeners warm with her own unique musical wisdom. She has been an innovative presence in music for over a decade, touching on trip-hop, stomping electro-glam, and pastoral folk. Her 6 Music Archive selections are The First Time With David Lynch (6-7pm); Iggy Pop's Car Songs themed show (7-9pm); La Chanson de Serge - The Serge Gainsbourg Story; The Morricone Affair - a tribute to the Italian composer Ennio Morricone; a rare Kate Bush interview from 2005, in which she talks about her album Aerial; and for the Live Hour - Air (1998), Leonard Cohen (1969), Stereolab (1991), and Radiohead at Glastonbury (1997). And Alison has also selected Iggy Pop's John Peel Lecture 2014 about free music in a capitalist society, which you can hear from 9pm.

The Australian singer-songwriter known for her witty and deadpan delivery released her debut EP, I've Got A Friend Called Emily Ferris in 2012. Her second EP, How To Carve A Carrot Into A Rose (2013) received international acclaim, taking her all around the world.

Debut album - Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit (2015) – was released to widespread acclaim, and in 2016 the musician was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards and for International Female Solo Artist at the Brits.

Zawe starred in the BBC's Wanderlust earlier this year and also recently starred in John Ridley's 1970s political drama Guerrilla, opposite Idris Elba, Freida Pinto and Babou Ceesay. Before that, she appeared in Tom Ford's critically acclaimed feature film Nocturnal Animals. In 2012, she was nominated for 'Best Newcomer' for Carol Morley's Dreams of a Life at BIFA and other notable screen credits include: Weekender, St Trinian's II. Blitz and Dr. Who.

Zawe is also well known for playing the brilliant Vod in Channel 4's fresh Meat and she has also written a book which will be published in early 2019.

Zawe's programme takes on the theme of t a date night with the show split into 3 acts - a trip to the movies, a romantic dinner and then a some dancing. The music that she has chosen is inspired by those acts - expect music from The Cardigans next to Hanns Zimmer, some Childish Gambino and some Prince.
