A brand new series from Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Tim Key. Each week Tim explores a different theme, with poems ranging in length and style, from the short and frivolous to the longer-form 'epics'. But every poem, short or long, represents a vivid journey through an absurd, yet strangely compelling, imagination.

Tim is accompanied by his 'good-looking musical chimp' Tom Basden (Radio 4's 'Party' and 'Cowards'). The pair's mutual contempt often bubbles over into open hostility and occasional violence. But they're best friends really.

Tim Key

Tim won the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2009 and is, in the words of the Guardian newspaper, currently leading "a new generation of comics, who are dismantling and reconstructing what we consider comedy to be."

He has penned and performed his own one-man show for Radio 4 - 'All Bar Luke' - which ran for three series. He also co-wrote and performed in two series of Radio 4's 'Cowards'. Cowards also ran as a television series on BBC4. More recently Tim starred opposite Steve Coogan in Alan Partridge's online show 'Mid-Morning Matters'.

Tim has published several books and his passion for experimental audio comedy saw him release the first album of his poetry last year - 'Tim Key. With a String Quartet. On a Boat.'

His latest live show - 'Masterslut' - is currently enjoying a sell-out run at the Soho Theatre in London.

"This is sublime, busy and evocative work from a man who keeps getting better and better." The List (on 'Masterslut')

"Bizarre and compelling." The Times (on 'With a String Quartet. On a Boat')

"The show...has a kind of artistry and strange beauty that makes it unlike any other hour of stand-up you are likely to see." The Observer (on 'The Slutcracker')

"He's a genius. Plain and simple." Time Out (on 'The Slutcracker').
