Ken Bruce and Frank Renton present the exciting climax of the competition to find the next brass star live from the BBC Philharmonic Studio in Salford. The Grimethorpe Colliery band accompany finalists

Matilda Lloyd trumpet, Ryan Watkins trombone, David Gillson cornet, and Grant Jameson euphonium, in a ten minute programme of their own choice. Grimethorpe, conducted by Frank Renton, will then give a concert of their own as the judges, Professor Edward Gregson, Catherine Moore and Ian Bousfield, decide who they will announce as the winner of this prestigious Award.

The 4 talented young players are Adam Bokaris Euphonium, Benjamin Goldscheider French horn, David Gillson Cornet and Grant Jameson Euphonium. They will perform for the title alongside the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band who will give a concert of their own featuring the music of film maestro John Williams as the judges decide who should take the coverted Award for 2015.

Grimethorpe give their own concert featuring the fabulous OperaBabes as the judges decide who should take the coveted Award . The judges are Professor Edward Gregson, Tuba star Les Neish and Stephen Bell who following his time as principal horn with the BBC Concert Orchestra is now Associate Conductor Pops at The Halle Orchestra, and they announce, live on air who will take the Award for 2016.
