201520150327Presented live by Ken Bruce and Listen to the Band's Frank Renton from The Royal Northern College of Music Manchester, this promises to be a night of tremendous music making and excitement as we reach the conclusion of our search for the next brass star. The 4 talented young players are Adam Bokaris Euphonium, Benjamin Goldscheider French horn, David Gillson Cornet and Grant Jameson Euphonium. They will perform for the title alongside the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band who will give a concert of their own featuring the music of film maestro John Williams as the judges decide who should take the coverted Award for 2015.

201620160415Presented by Ken Bruce and Listen to the Band's Frank Renton this promises to be a night of tremendous music making and excitement as we reach the conclusion of our search for the next brass star. The 4 talented young players who perform for the title alongside the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band are Samuel Dye on trombone, Ben Goldscheider on French Horn, bass trombonist Kyle MacCorquodale and on Euphonium Daniel Thomas. Grimethorpe give their own concert featuring the fabulous OperaBabes as the judges decide who should take the coveted Award . The judges are Professor Edward Gregson, Tuba star Les Neish and Stephen Bell who following his time as principal horn with the BBC Concert Orchestra is now Associate Conductor Pops at The Halle Orchestra, and they announce, live on air who will take the Award for 2016.
