This morning, Manic Street Preachers perform live at Maida Vale.

It is now 25 years since the Manics released their first single, Suicide Alley, and still today they remain one of the most respected bands in the country. Their eleventh studio album, Rewind The Film, which is released in September finds the band in startling form and today they will perform both new and old tracks in today's show. Frontman James Dean Bradfield recently presented The Freak Zone on the network, cementing the band's relationship with the station.

The legendary Beatle and Wings man is still pushing the musical boundaries and, with an incredible zest for producing great records, he returns to the same BBC studios he played in with John, George and Ringo in the Sixties with a brilliant batch of songs.
