She was also the former wife of the philosopher Bertrand Russell. Shaw had been commissioned by the BBC to write a film about their life together. What resulted was a far more personal meeting for Shaw himself. Thirty five years later, using a mixture of fact and fiction, he has re-created that meeting. Produced and directed by Pauline Harris.
