John Godber - Shafted!

John Godber's stage play is set over the 30 years following the Miners' Strike of 1984/85.

It's the story of how Dot and Harry cope with life after he is made redundant amidst a community that has had the heart ripped out of it.

After 10 years of turmoil, they do the unthinkable and leave Upton to try and make a new life for themselves in the seaside town of Bridlington.
