Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder | 20230725 | 20240320 (RW) 20240324 (RW) 20250204 (RW) 20250205 (RW) 20250209 (RW) | ![]() Since being diagnosed with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), comedian Bella Humphries has been at a crossroads. Should she resign herself to a life of struggle behind the closed doors of her Conwy home, battling her unbearable symptoms alone, and hiding away within the terrors of her own mind? Or should she simply out herself as a hysterical woman, whose brain tries to sabotage her very existence each month with the return of her menstrual cycle? After some deliberation, she decided upon the latter. Not only because she's a natural born show-off (and prone to squeezing material out of her struggles) but also to help other people. Bella hopes that by opening up about her condition and baring her soul, warts and all (or rather, meltdowns, SSRIs and a river of tears), then maybe she can encourage others to do the same. Special thanks to Laura Teare-Jones, Clara Amfo, Dr Aziza Sesay, and Beth Leadley for their contributions. Produced by Little Wander.
