Tasmin Little investigates the legacy of Antonio Stradivari, the Italian violin, viola and cello maker, whose name is by-word for supreme craftsmanship. She talks to musicians who play his instruments and those of his competitor - Guarneri del Gesu. The maiden voyage of a violin in Cremona and a meeting with virtuoso violinist Salvatore Accardo lead her to believe that reports of the death of Stradivari may be grossly exaggerated.
