The Return Of The Buddha

During the British invasion of Tibet 100 years ago, Captain Arthur Hadow looted a bronze Buddha statue, which he later bequeathed to his granddaughter Celia. Now she sets off to the Himalayas with John Nightingale to return the stolen statue to the Dalai Lama. Along the way she reads her grandfather's letters from the front, which give a chilling first-hand account of the weapon he deployed with devastating results: the Maxim machine gun.
