Poitier At 80

A celebration of the life and work of Sidney Poitier, who turned 80 in February.
He was one of the first actors to defy racial stereotypes and give black actors mainstream credibility in the West. From his early life in poverty on Cat Island in the Bahamas to his Oscar winning Lilies of the Field and the groundbreaking In the Heat of the Night, we hear from Poitier about his life and journey in film.
