In October 2005, Mrs Rosa Parks, the mother of the Civil Rights movement, died at the age of 92.

Fifty years earlier, then an unknown seamstress in Montgomery, Alabama, her refusal to give up her bus seat to a white passenger and her subsequent arrest ignited the Civil Rights movement in America.
