Not Just Britpop - Pop

Mark Goodier presented the Official UK Top 40 for much of the Britpop era, including one of the most famous chart shows of all time on Sunday 20th August 1995, when he revealed that Blur had beaten Oasis to number one.

In this show Mark remembers the tears when Take That split up, the girl power of the Spice Girls and an unlikely music phenomenon called Robson and Jerome. He's joined by Sharleen Spiteri from Texas who saw Britpop going on around them as their album 'White On Blonde' became one of the biggest sellers of 1997. The show also includes success for the UK at Eurovision and the bestselling single of all time.

Mark Goodier looks back at some of the massive pop success stories of the Britpop era.
