A comedy drama in which feisty Catholic Therese-Ann Dar and her staunch Muslim mother-in-law Ayesha are both on a mission to claim the moral and religious high ground in their family. The constant warring between the women makes life for Therese-Ann's husband Bob (or Babur to his mother) a little weary. However it fascinates Bob's fourteen year old son, Anas who documents his mixed-up life in a series of interviews called "The Identity Project". When Anas's journey of self-discovery leads to what both women consider to be an alarming destination, they put aside their religious and cultural differences for at least a whole four seconds. Janey Godley, Sanjeev Kohli and Sajeela Kershi star in this family comedy for the 21st century.

Christmas is seldom straight-forward in a multi-faith family, and tensions are particularly high in the Dar household as Ayesha has to share her 70th birthday with Jesus. Feeling ignored and rejected by the rest of the family, she decides to leave, only to find herself called upon to "save" her least favourite event of the year.

Terri-Ann and her mother-in-law Ayesha are fiercely competitive about most things - food, family, and friends. So when the opportunity arises for Terri-Ann to join the local fundraising committee, run by the cocktail-loving Angelline Munro, she goes all out to impress her former school friend. Irritatingly for Terri-Ann, without even trying to, Ayesha makes herself indispensable to the fundraising effort.

Ayesha and Terri-Ann find common ground in their suspicion of Bob's mechanic, and former drug addict Stevie. Whilst Bob is happy to give Stevie a second chance, Terri-Ann and Ayesha are unconvinced. Although Stevie inadvertently brings about an unexpected family reunion, suspicion soon lands on him, when Ayesha's diamond stud earrings disappear from the house. Stevie does not help matters when he turns up at the Dar family home to "confess" to his misdemeanors. For Ayesha, who fancies herself as a bit of a commando, it's time to take action.

Ayesha is sent into a frenzy, planning her big welcome for her great niece, and medical student, Zarina who arrives from Karachi. She makes her favourite meals and invites the crushingly dull son of a friend, Imran, to accompany her on sightseeing trips. Zarina, however, has other ideas of how to spend her holiday, which involve getting closely acquainted with Glasgow's nightlife. She soon gets Terri-Ann involved in her antics, leading to a near disaster for Terri-Ann and Bob.

Terri-Ann would rather go to Dubai, but Bob has made up his mind: In his search for new experiences they are all going camping, or rather "glamping" as Bob calls it - camping with a bit of glamour thrown in. Despite sharing a tent with a love-sick Anas and serial farter, Ayesha, it all seems to be going well. However, when their tent collapses in a storm and is rendered useless, they find themselves calling upon fellow campers, Gavin and Ailsa, for a little friendly assistance, and that's when it all starts to get a little weird.
