A celebration of the life of legendary film director Michael Powell to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth.
Martin Scorsese tells Ian Christie how he tracked down the director in the early 70s.
At the time, Powell was the forgotten man of British cinema and Scorsese only had a few clues to his whereabouts.
Once he found Powell, he invited him to come to America, where both Powell and his films found a new lease of life.
Scorsese even played match-maker, introducing Powell to his future wife, Thelma Schoonmaker.
She talks movingly to Ian about Michael's happy last few years.
