Kraken Wakes, The [Reading]

Published in 1953, the apocalyptic sci-fi novel by John Wyndham is a brilliant alien invasion tale. Stephen Moore is the reader, creating a terrific atmosphere of impending global catastrophe as strange fireballs speed through the sky and ships sink with no apparent reason. This 16 part reading, recorded specially for BBC 7, was produced by Susan Carson.
