In the week leading up to the John Cage Uncaged weekend, the BBC Philharmonic perform a programme of music setting Cage in his American context.

Including Virgil Thomson's ballet depicting a day in the life of a petrol-pump attendant, Copland's early Symphony for Organ and Orchestra, and his jazzy Clarinet Concerto.
