Horses is the story of a storm, of grief, of arson, and revenge. A priest, a doctor and a policeman, on a wild stormy night in South Dublin, struggle with the grief of a teenage girl and the unpredictability of a vagrant. This is a taut tale which draws not only on the action but also on the innermost fears, grief and insecurities of the characters for its tension.
Set against the ravages of a storm which adds even more to the intensity of the story, this is a thriller told with skill and a thoughtful use of language. The final twist brings a feeling of relief and the satisfaction of the best outcome.
A new unabridged thriller by Keith Ridgway, read by Owen Roe.
