The Holton Players

Oscar winning actor Jim Broadbent takes a personal journey back to his theatrical roots in rural Lincolnshire. The village of Holton-cum-Beckering, was populated by a small community of conscientious objectors during the Second World War. They created a theatre company in their village school which is still going today in their own theatre. Jim Broadbent's parents were founder members of both the community and the theatre group. Now president of the theatre himself, he returns to his acting roots in the history of the wartime Pacifist community and the unique Holton Players.
