A portrait of the American poet Edna St Vincent Millay (1892-1950) with Gayle Hunnicutt as the poet. Written by Judith Chemaik.
Millay was a great paradox. Not particularly attractive, yet pursued by suitors. Full of restless energy, yet also a neurotic recluse. She personified romantic behaviour in the 1920s, yet in her poetry she is cynical towards love and sex. Her story is told by two of the men who knew her best.
