Genome: [r4 Bd=19920204]

Part of Radio 4's Northern Lights festival. Last summer Chris Bonington and Robin Knox-Johnston undertook a challenging journey through the treacherous, ice-choked waters of Greenland's east coast and on to the snowy vastness of the interior. They back-packed and sledged up the huge Fredericksburg Glacier to their objective - the magnificent 7,880-foot peak known as "The Cathedral", the highest point of the little-explored Lemon Mountains in the Arctic Circle. This is the story of that journey - recorded as it happened. Producer John Knight. Stereo ● CHRIS BONINGTON 'S KIND OF DAY: page 106
