Friday Night Is Bond Night



A celebration to mark the centenary of the birth of 007 himself, Ian Fleming.

The concert has stars from the world of pop, rock and musical theatre on stage at London's Mermaid Theatre to celebrate the master of the spy novel, the movies and the music in readiness for the 22nd Bond outing - Quantum of Solace.

Host Ken Bruce introduces music from many of the best loved Bond films, including Licence to Kill, Goldfinger, Thunderball, For Your Eyes Only and Diamonds Are Forever.

The 70-piece BBC Concert Orchestra leads the festivities, conducted by Mike Dixon, and with performances from David McAlmont, Mica Paris, Tom Baxter and Jodie Prenger.

The Interval Feature will be an exclusive interview with Bond composer David Arnold, bringing the Bond story right up to date.
