But since 1921, once a year, Donaueschingen has been the go-to destination to hear a succession of world premieres from the some of the world's great figures in new music in performances of the highest quality. For a long weekend every October, the sleepy Black Forest town of Donaueschingen plays host to a rich and varied line-up of composers and gives them performances of the highest quality in front of large and enthusiastic audiences.
