Featuring Haydn's Lark Quartet - considered to have one of the most joyous openings the composer ever wrote for quartet. That's followed by a rarely-performed, Bach-inspired work by Charles Koechlin, a pupil of Faure in Paris, and then a cantata by Bach himself. Queen Cleofide thinks Poro is dead, and is about to marry Alexander the Great. Poro appears at the wedding ceremony just in time to save the couple from making a big mistake, and in relief at his escape, Alexander doesn't kill anyone.
