Playwright Anthony Minghella introduces the first festival of international radio drama.
Over the next six weeks, BBC Radio 4 and other ENGLISH broadcasters are presenting a series of plays from Canada, Hong Kong, South Africa and the UNITED STATES.
The first of the series, `City of Hands', by Stephen Bain and Deborah Tucker, was originally broadcast on New Zealand Public Radio.
A group of people enter a competition to win a car, the winner being whoever can keep a hand on the car longest.
As the days progress, the competition takes on a surreal quality.
With Geraldine Brophy and Peter Kaa.
