Every year a band of men (and some women) who rounded Cape Horn on commercial sailing vessels gather in a port to share their stories and the memories of those dangerous voyages.

But every year their number grows smaller and, rather than admit 'yachties' they have decided to disband.

Todd Jarrell joins them at the final meeting of the Cape Horners' Association in St Malo.

This is the last chance to hear from people whose experience is crucial to our identity.

And Todd tests the myths of these voyages against the reality on his own, sailing around Cape Horn on a tall ship.

Every year since 1937, Cape Horners, men and some women who rounded Cape Horn on commercial sailing vessels, have gathered in a Port to share their stories and the memories of those dangerous voyages.

But every year their number has decreased and last year they decided to disband.

Taking the last chance to hear from the people who helped shape our identity, Todd Jarrell joins them at the final meeting of the Cape Horners' Association in St Malo.

Todd complements their memories with his own experiences recorded on the tall ship Europa on a voyage sailing around Cape Horn.
