Comedy as James Boswell, Dr Johnson's celebrated biographer, pursues other legends to immortalise. Today he attempts to write a biography of another famous Johnson - Boris - but finds him a fiendish opponent especially on the whiff-whaff table.

Following on from the series that saw other celebrities including Sigmund Freud, Maria Callas and Harold Pinter have their lives penned by James Boswell - a one off special - that sees another Johnson, Boris no less, become the subject of Boswell's musings.

Jon Canter is an award winning comedy writer for both television and radio. He recently penned the radio series 'Believe It' starring Richard Wilson but his work goes back to Spitting Image. He is also the author of several books and has been called our greatest living comic novelist.

Miles Jupp is an actor and stand up. He is best known for playing Nigel in the series 'Rev' and is a regular contributor to R4 panel games and 'Have I Got News For You' on BBC1. He is currently appearing at the National Theatre in 'Rules For Living'.

Alistair McGowan is an impressionist, stand-up comic, actor and writer best known to British audiences for 'The Big Impression'. He has recently been seen. He has also featured on 'Bake Off For Comic Relief', 'Mock The Week', has been seen on 'Live At The Apollo' and began his career by providing voices for the iconic 'Spitting Image'.
