Royal calligrapher Donald Jackson's vision was to create an illuminated handwritten bible for the 21st Century. He's bringing to it all the art, sciences and love that guarantees its posterity. Old techniques using vellum, ancient Chinese inks, and quill pens combine with the very latest technology to ensure that it lasts at least one thousand years. ARCHITECT and broadcaster Maxwell Hutchinson, follows the progress of this monumental undertaking as it unfolds in a scriptorium in Wales, and a Benedictine monastery in America.
