Heddle Nash became a legend in his own lifetime. Even today his records are still requested and sold, and fellow artists love to talk of him:

David Franklin , as a school-boy, watched Heddle's debut in 1925. Much later he worked with him as a fellow professional and counted him a friend.

He builds up a portrait of the famous tenor with the help of JOAN CROSS, CHARLES GROVES STANFORD
