PRE: Band 2 (2'18") Berry: was no case or evidence against his clients. Robinson: Captain Lewry was "a skilled and conscientious captain" and relied on systems for ensuring the bow doors were that had proved reliable in the past. De Rohan: "extraordinarily disappointed". Band 3 (0'23") Prescott: "quite deplorable" that the court has decided that companies are not responsible for the safety of their operations. "We've had an inquest that said it was unlawful killing...an inquiry saying the faults lay...higher up...For them not to be there to face criminal charges...is quite unacceptable."
