Este from the BBC's Sound of 2013 winners LA 4 piece Haim, presents a playlist of some of her favourite songs. She is the eldest of the 3 sisters who are the core of the band.

Their sound has been described as nu-folk-meets-nineties-R&B.

The 3 sisters formed the band in 2006 and spent the next 5 years playing local venues. After playing in other bands they decided to take Haim more seriously.

After playing supporting acts such as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, The Henry Clay People and Ke$ha, they released their debut ep Forever in 2012. This let to a deal with Polydor records. They played their debut UK shows at the end of 2012, and in January they topped the BBCs Sound of 2013 poll.

Their debut album Days Are Gone comes out at the end of the month.

The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize but lost out to PJ Harvey with Let England Shake. His second album Some Say I So I Say Light was released in May 2013.
